By Tammy, this blog humanity journalist

Why does global level human rights group criticizes the Thai Human Rights commission?

Because the Thai human rights commission believes the Thais have no human rights.

What does the Thai have as human rights?

The rights to consume propaganda, live under a repressed regime, worship the flag, and be afraid of the military.

Will Thais ever have the same human rights as most globally do?

Never, Thailand is unique, special and different from the rest of the globe and believe human rights is life-long subjucation to having no rights.

Why is torture and supression of freedom of expression widespread in Thailand?

Because those are the human rights of the ruling class.

Why does the Thai accept living under repressions?

Because they are afraid if they resists, they will have to live under more repression.

Is there no hope for liberty, freedom of expression and democracy in Thailand?

Those human rights concepts hurt the ruling class human rights to supress in Thailand.

Why does the globe live with Thailand’s human rights position?

Better containment, because the globe is afraid Thailand’s human rights model will spread globally.

What model does the Thai human rights model based on?

The target is to surpass Hitler, and set a new benchmark for generations to follow.

What is the best example of Thai human rights that comes close to global level?

The freedom to hit the whorehouses.

How bad is the human slavery trade in Thailand?

Everyone, except the ruling class, is a human slave in Thailand.

Does the Thai media have freedom of expression?

Only money buys freedom of expression in Thailand.

Why have over 25,000 websites been banned in Thailand?

Because Thailand is so fragile any little bit of information is dangerous to national security.

When will Da be released from prison?

Da is the most freed person in Thailand as far as the ruling class is concerned.

How bad does it have to get before UN gets involved?

Actually, it has surpass that, but the UN does not want to get involved because it is being supressed by something.

The Thai happiness index have tanked, suicidal rates up and record numbers of Thais are calling on shrinks, are they an indication of poor Human Rights condition?

Not really, the ruling class says those are related how dissidents feel and not how the true Thai feels.

Who benefits from the Democrat Party rule of Thailand?

Every other country that is competing with Thailand.

What do the Democrat Party does the best?

Oppressing anyone that opposes the Democrat Party.

What does Abhisit, the head of the Democrat Party do best?

Making sure the mirror says “You are the most handsome man in the world.”

Why does the Democrat Party hate Taksin so much?

I don’t know but maybe because Taksin won elections, and it lost.

How did the Democrat Party became the government?

The Thai military had a delusion that Abhisit will bring Thailand together, in peace and no corruption.

How much damage had the Democrat Party done to Thailand?

No damage done at all, except for massive corruption, total division of the Thais, the brink of a war, lots of repression and all the rest of the good stuff government’s are supposed to bring to a country.

How long will the Democrat Party rule Thailand?

Until democracy, freedom and social-justice comes to Thailand.

Why does the Thai press love Abhisit so much?

Good question, but probably because the Thai press can only sell bad news.

Why do some Thai love the Democrat Party?

Because the devil is very charming.

Does the Red Shirt plan to kill Abhisit?

Actually, as far as progress and modern thinking is concerned, the Democrat Party had been dead for centuries.

Why does the Democrat Party protects the class system and Extreme Royalism?

Probably because the upper class and Extreme Royalist are the smallest population base in Thailand.

The Democrats Party says the Red Shirt are afraid of the “Goodness” of the Democrat Party. Is that true?

The Red Shirt are extremely afraid of the Democrat Party “Greatness” in destroying Thailand.

Why does freedom of expression under the Democrat Party attack?

Because if the truth is let loose, the Democrat Party will lose grip.

Does the Democrat Party believe in Democracy?

They believe in Democracy only if it helps the party stay in power.

Does the Democrat Party believe in freedom of speech?

They believe in freedom of propaganda.

Why does the Thai let the Democrat Party rule Thailand?

Because the Thai are afraid that if the Democrat does not run Thailand, its military backers will rule Thailand instead.

How close are the Democrat Party and the Thai military?

They have the Yellow Shirt as children together.

Where is the Democrat Party heading Thailand into, as far as the future is concerned?

The Democrat Party is only concerned where the Democrat Party is heading to.

What is the future of Thailand under Democrat Party control?

The dream for prosperity, democracy, liberty, and social-justice will prosper.

Does the Democrat Party want to rule Thailand as the head of a military coup?

Actually, that is a wet dream for the Democrat Party.

The military kicked out Taksin because corruption, but ranking shows Abhisit is worse. So why hasn’t the military kick out Abhisit?

Because most of the Abhisit corruption is in the military.

Thailand’s corruption is now the second worse in Asia, but Thais don’t care now, why?

Because the got rid of the corrupt Taksin and now think Thailand is clean.

Why does not the Thai anti-corruption body investigate Abhisit accepting expensive gifts?

Because when Abhisit got caught, he returned it and the body said “no harm done.”

Why does the Thai courts hate Taksin so much?

Because everyone hates the Thai courts so much and the courts can’t stand the Thai people loving Taksin.

Why do most Thais say the Thai justice system is un-just, not fair, and have a double standard?

Not true, the Thai justice system has a single standard in going after Taksin.

Taksin asked the legal department if it was Ok to help his wife bid for government land and it said OK, but why did the court still find him guilty?

If Taksin uses too much toilet paper in the toilet, the court will still find a way to find him guilty.

Thai courts plans to nationalized the billions Taksin made, is that acceptable?

If anyone of Taksin executives bribed a cop for traffic violation, the courts would still take his company away.

Very senior Thai judges came out to apologize that they could not keep the justice fair when it comes to politics, but it was mostly not reported. Why is that?

Because the judges have no money to bribe the Thai media.

Why does the courts judged everything Taksin political parties do as wrong, but the Democrat Party as always right?

Because the Thai judges are blind when it comes to evidence against the Democrat Party.

How can Thailand fix the Thai courts and make them just?

The only way is to send them to hell for long-tem punishment and maybe they will be reborn a better person.

How bad is the Thai justice system?

Do monkey courts ring a bell?

Why does the Thai government say Cambodia’s wanting 50-50% oil and gas split is not fair and the Thai wanting 80% split is fair?

Because the Thai government thinks it is smart and the Cambodians are so backward and stupid.

Why does the Thai government say the Khmer empire Phra Viharn relic is Thai?

Because the Thais have no idea of how to build such a great thing so they can only try to steal it.

Why did Taksin went to Cambodia?

Because the Cambodian offered Taksin a home, when the Thai government kept him on the run for a long time now.

Why did Thailand send spies and intelligence people to follow Taksin in Cambodia?

Because the Thai government was curious if Taksin or Hun Sen will win in their golf rounds.

Why is the Thai press so nationalistic and far right?

Because they think helping the Thai government beating on a small country make them important.

If war breaks-out between Thailand and Cambodia, who will win?

Cambodia will win because it can export more wood to Thailand to make coffins.

Why does the Thai government say Cambodians are sending guns into Thailand to cause a revolt?

Because the Thai government knows most Thais hate it and guns is all that is needed to topple it.

Why does the Thai Army says it can win a war with Cambodia to newspapers?

Probably because the Thai Army is about 100 times bigger than Cambodia’s army, but still can help braging about winning.

Why do most Thai guys hate the Thai Cambodian conflict?

Because they have a hard time choosing between cute Cambodians chicks and being called a traitor.

Is it Taksin or Cambodia that caused the Thai Cambodian conflict?

Neither, it is the Thai government’s ego.

Why is the globe on Cambodia’s side in this Thai Cambodian conflict?

Don’t know, but the Thai government says the globe is un-fair and un-just.

Why did Thailand’s foreign minister called Cambodia’s prime minister a Cheap Thug?

Because the Thai foreign minister is a classy thug.

What is the best way to solve the Thai Cambodian conflict?

Get France to pound some senses into the Thai government’s head.

Why does Taksin advising Cambodia economic development is such a threat to Thailand?

Because the Thai government is afraid Taksin will pass on information how Thailand is a fail state to the Cambodians.

Why is ASEAN on Cambodia’s side?

Who know, maybe it is about how the Thai government is so friendly to everyone that everyone can not help but love back.

Why is the Thai foreign minister is under investigations for terrorism?

Because the mere sigh of him freaks the shit out of every diplomat on the globe.

Why does the Thai poll say Thais support the government on the Cambodian conflict?

The heck with the Thai poll because the global poll says the Thai government is full of propaganda crap.

By Stingray, this blog national security journalist

It was cute!

First came a Red Shirt radio open threat of a car bomb against the head of the repressed regime Abhisit when he visits a Thai northern province.

That silly threat was taken so seriously by the repressed right-wing propaganda machine, it bordered on being a comedy. Then came the same Red Shirt radio, that said it was just teasing Abhisit. But instead the people of the northern city will lit 100,000 fire-crackers, in welcoming Abhisit.

Those action of the Red Shirt, pretty much tells you of the mood the head of the Red Shirt, Taksin is in. And that is just some positive energy being released, against the grim and dimness of the repressed Abhisit regime.

But if one looks underneath it all, there is a serious danger developing.

When positive energy is treated as a negative energy, as the funny car bomb threat, is being used to put that northern city under emergency decree, and the right-wing propaganda machine extracts the maximum from the tease, one can pretty much say:

“A violent underground movement against the government, is on the verge of being formed.”

Taksin, the head of the Red Shirt, is non-violent and has loads and loads of positive energy. He tried his best to negotiate a peace settlement with the far right Extreme Royalist, but is met with rejection. In the Timesonline interview, he did his best to defend the institution, but it was turned into a lese majeste. In Cambodia, again it was again giving the Abhisit regime a choice between smooth relation with Cambodia, or making it into a Taksin issue. One neutural observer said, Taksin is just trying to aggravate Abhisit.

Abhisit choose to see Cambodia as an enemy, taking Thailand to the brink of war-over an aggravation.

One positive energy by Taksin to resolve this deep-rooted Thai problem, after another has been rejected.

Now the Red Shirt plans a major protest in Bangkok, and the word is, if anything goes wrong, the military will stage a coup and put Abhisit in power for a very long time to get rid of the Red Shirt. This indicates, yet, another negative reaction to the right of the Thai people to express themselves.

The problem is, right now, the Red Shirt are still positive and have hope. But the risk to Thailand is that the far right will go too far. If and when that Red Shirt positive energy turns into a negative energy, Thailand is heading into a serious problems.

Normally, repression, is always met with a response-this is history. Most of the time, the response to repression, is violence against the oppressor. The only question is time.

Thailand is a wild place with weapons of violence readily available all over the place. The Thais, are also people who are prone to violence, as a nature. Political violence, has been increasing common in recent times. The equation spell violent underground movement against the oppressor.

But the Red Shirt remain positive at this point, expressing themselves through acceptable means, going real funny and hilarious at times.

But if not cautious, and justifications is given to them to turn negative, the ingredients are there for more than fire crackers in a northern city, and we are talking about real bang for the bucks in Bangkok.

As one intelligence analyst said, “Elevating the car bomb situation is the right wing objective, to which I suspect, is related to the Red Shirt climactic protest in Bangkok. If a bomb goes off at that time, the right wing can very much convince the Thais that a coup is needed against the Red Shirt.”

Like we say, when positive energy is met with negative energy, watch out, it could get really bad in Thailand.

By all of us at this blog

Well it is official, as far as Thai Rath, a local mass circulated daily with deep links everywhere, is concerned. A coup will take place and prop-up Abhisit as the prime minister, to head-off an election that will see the Red Shirt win again.

And in Thailand, a coup needs the council’s approval, and yesterday, the head council met with some senior military commanders, in a mood Thai Rath reports, was tense.

And Thais Rath, also splattered across the front page of an assignation threat on Abhisit by some Red Shirt radios, prompting Chaovalit, a key strategist of the Puey Thai party that is part of the Red Shirt, to warn Abhisit to be cautious, because the “Third Column” make take advantage of the situation.

Meanwhile, billions of baht that Taksin made, is on the line and as always, the Thai justice system is after Taksin, and the question is only in making the case look good enough for public consumption.

So we are heading into a critical juncture now. Or is it all an illusion?

First off, Taksin does not really care what the powers at be does with his billions, because in Thailand, everything is “Doable” and depends on who is in power. And clearly, how long can Thailand fall under the Abhisit’s coup government, before the Red Shirt return to power.

Second, Abhisit gets killed or not or become the coup government or not, it does not really change anything in the medium or long term. Structurally, the Thai problems are deep rooted and it will always feed the opposite-being the forces of democracy, liberty and social-justice.

And thirdly, the globe will be alienated away from Thailand, and a coup will prove yet again what Thailand is all about-and that Taksin and the Red Shirt are right.

But in Thailand, the ultimate decision does not lie with the councils, but with the human symbol of Thailand.

Now lets see, the current symbol, while we all hope will live long, he is yet getting quite older and frail at times. And his son had been appointed his successor.

If Thai Rath is right, and there is a coup to prop up Abhisit, it will surely be a very long-term government, as it will take a long time, to get rid of the Red Shirt-and we are talking about very long here, because the Red Shirts, are very difficult to crack.

So most likely, the critical “Changeling” will occur during this Abhisit’s rule of Thailand.

Obviously, the human symbol of Thailand understands this. And he also understands the implication of a long term military rule of Thailand-in that Thailand will fall behind the globe and become much criticized globally.

The key question, the human symbol of Thailand, is asking himself, has nothing to do with a coup, the Red Shirt, Abhisit or anything that is “earthly and at common ground level” at all, what he is asking himself, is under what environment will the “Changing” take place.

If one of his last great action, is to legalize another coup, that will influence his son’s future action-as to the direction Thailand will progress. If his action is to lay does the foundation of Democracy, freedom and social-justice, that will influence his son’s future action.

And yet, as he is above “Historical Context” how will generations afterwords, globally, view his time in a life?

What is occurring in Thailand has nothing to do with all of us earthly people at all, because all of us, no matter what side we are on, are corrupted by our values.

What is important in Thailand, right now, is creating an environment, for Thailand’s future. This blog’s argument is for an environment where, democracy, freedom of expression and liberty can prosper, cushioning in a positive way, the rise of a new human symbol of Thailand.

But as we say, we are Americans here at this blog. The future of Thailand, is really in the hands of the Thais.

By Tammy, this blog humanity journalist

Hi Nat, what are you up to these days with a husband in the Thai army?

As usual, work, take care of him when he is around, and worry about him when he is away.

What is your husband up to these days?

He was re-deploy to the Cambodian border on assignment for a year.

Will you miss him and are you planning to ge see him?

I will miss him very much but the military pay is poor and I work everyday of the week and it will be difficult for me to go and see him. I think he will have to come back and see me, but that is up to the Cambodian border situation.

Are you proud of your husband going off to protect Thailand?

I am proud but I am also worried about him. His family has a long history in the military and it is duty to Thailand. But if he is killed or injured what will I do?

The military takes care of the family does it not?

Yes, but I love my husband and want him to be with me always. We also are planning to have children. But all of that is gone for now, but instead, the military tells him to make a will.

Does that not sadden you?

Yes, a great deal. But I can not stop him, or ask him to leave the military now. It is his choice to be a soldier and I married a soldier. But I never thought there will be anything like this. Thailand had been at peace with everyone around for so long. His only danger had been when call to help stage a coup, and sometimes he tells me there may be Thai soldiers fighting Thai soldiers.

Do you blame Taksin, Hunsen or Abhisit for this?

I think Taksin going to Cambodia is wrong. But I also think to call Cambodia a cheap thug is also wrong, and I think Abhisit has not helped anything.

What about the Thai generals, do you blame them?

They are my husband boss and I do not blame them. They are the team leader who thinks of the war plan. But Thai generals are mostly rich and powerful people, and soldiers like my husband will be doing the fighting. They play golf most of the time, and my husband has to take a second job to help the family. I don’t think that is fair.

Do you think Thai generals love the country?

I think some of them love the country, but mostly, it is just a way of life and a way to have power. Most of them don’t love the country like my husband does.

Do you want Thailand to win the war with Cambodia, if it breaks out?

I want Thailand to win, but I am worried for the families of the soldiers who will get killed. And also of the Cambodians soldier’s family also. I am from a province close to Cambodia, and they are just close neighbors. I go to the border to buy and sell stuff with my mother when I was younger, and they are nice people.

What do you think is the best way to solve the Thai Cambodian problem?

I think both sides need to talk together and put the friendship before the Taksin issue. I don’t like that Taksin went to Cambodia, but I think it is Cambodians business and not Thai business to tell Cambodians what to do.

But Taksin can come to Thailand from Cambodia and it is close to Thailand?

Taksin can come into Thailand from many places. I think Taksin was just trying to aggravate Abhisit, but instead of just thinking about the friendship with Cambodia, Abhisit saw the Cambodians as the enemy of Thailand and that is wrong.

Does your husband tell you anything about what he is doing?

He says he spends most of his time playing soccer with his soldiers friends, but that the girls there are attractive and I need to go see him, because if not, he will have a second wife (Ha Ha).

But seriously, how serious is the situation there? Is he tense or up-tight?

Not really, but as an artillery group commander, in war, he tells me the big guns fight first and it is very dangerous because the Cambodians have very good artillery also. But he tells me his is better and he is better at what he does so he will be OK. I hope.

What do you do with your spare time with him away?

I watch TV, cook and eat alone. But I plan to bring my cousin from E-Sarn to live with me while he is away. It is just very lonely living alone all the time.

Are you a Yellow Shirt or a Red Shirt?

Sometimes I am a Yellow Shirt and sometimes a Red Shit. It depends on what they do. But a few years ago there was an accident with a big gun and I saw many black shirt. I don’t want to be a black shirt.

Is your husband a Red Shirt or a Yellow Shirt?

In the Thai army it is dangerous to be a Red Shirt. But he is not into politics. He just loves the king and the country, and willing to protect them with his life.

Do you have any complain about the Thai army?

I think they are slow with money and they promise this and that and I see it in the newspapers, but he says he never gets it. Maybe he has a second wife (Ha Ha). But the Thai army is very advance these days, with computers everywhere and he has to take computer classes at night, and he is not a good student and that is why he is a soldier.

What is he planning to do in the army, as far as career is concerned?

He is very brave and a good commander and he is being noticed. But in the Thai army, you need more than that to move up so it has been slow. But he is making progress.

What do mean, more than that?

I mean you need friends in high places and be part of the group that is moving up fast. My husband is proud and he does not ask anyone for help, even when he can and his boss likes him. I do not know what to do. He is very stubborn.

What are your friends and your husband friends like?

I don’t have much time to socialize so I have few friends. But my husband has many good friends in the Thai army, but in the army it is about rank and position, so it is not really friends like most people have. It is kind of strange really. I think it is funny actually. When they get together, it still look to me like they are working and playing soldier. It is really weird the way they respect each other even when the uniforms comes off and they are in their shorts and t-shirt.

If there was one thing you wished the Thai army does for soldiers like your husband what will it be?

I think Thai soldiers drink too much and I do not like these long assignments with little help for the family to see each other. I really wished they make soldiers drink less and have a special travelling pay for these long assignments. I also see in my husband’s military magazines that foreign soldiers have very good body protection gear, and I wished the Thai army buys more of them.

Thank you very much Nat.

You are welcome

by Tammy, this blog humanity journalist

When Thailand’s future army chief in waiting is quoted to be “Put Off at the Sight of Red Shirt” one can pretty much figure out that Thailand is heading down, and the Red Shirt will probably be killed off one way or another.

I am perplexed however, that how can this future in waiting chief can “Hate” so many Thais. Now lets see, the Red Shirt is a social movement with million and millions of Thais dedicated to it. It is a movement that seek social justice, freedom of expression and democracy.

Hating the Red Shirt, does it not tantamount to hating those values that most around the globe have come to love?

But perhaps I am being too critical to this boss in waiting. Perhaps the boss just hates Taksin. To which I am just again as perplexed, because the justification “Hating” Taksin is related to Taksin’s corruption does it not? But then an international corruption ranking, just put Abhisit and the military junta’s government as being more corrupt than Taksin’s reign.

Then who will argue that the current government and Abhisit rule of Thailand is now “More” of a police and military state than Taksin ever was managed to put in place.

But oh, then perhaps it is not about corruption or a police and military state at all we are talking about but the love of you know what that is the real issue.

Unfortunately, when it comes to love of that institution, who on earth can love it more than military men who are close to the institution, and so to expect everybody else to love it as much and hate those than do not love it as much, does that not sound a bit childish and ridiculous?

Ane when it comes to showing of the love and actually proving who loves who, are we going to put every Thai on court? Like if one gets “F” it is the firing squard, then a “D” its being shuned, then a “C” its second class citizen, then a “B” its warmth and prosperity, and lastly, an “A” and it is the inner club.

And does the Red Shirt “Hate” the institution that we are talking about, to be hated back? Well, if one actually read the opinion of one leader of the Red Shirt, Taksin, in Timesonline interview, one must wonder if Taksin was “Defending” the institution to a hostile global view, or was he “Hating” the institution we are taliking about.

And does not a defense, indicate love at all?

But then perhaps, as most adults knows this, maybe it has nothing to do to love of that institution at all, but about the love of being the big boos, all full of power and the things that comes with great power.

Like I will show you, I can “Hate” millions of my own countrymen, and still be the big boss.

In this fight for democracy, freedom of expression, and social-justice in Thailand, with Taksin or no Taksin, corruption or no corruption, love or no love, most average people around the globe love democracy, freedom of expression and social-justice.

What happens in Thailand, a little country in a far away place, with increasingly little significance to anything or anyone-does not really mean a thing to them.

If Thailand is liberated, the world will welcome it in its embrace. If Thailand continues to fall under repression, the globe will shun it. It is Thailand’s internal affairs.

But when it comes to love, the globe loves the Red Shirt, and pretty much “Put Off” by Thailand’s military and its hunger for power.

By Frank and Stingray, this blog political and national security journalist

Cooling Down or Heating Up?

As the Thai terrorist suspect foreign minister Kasit, who called Cambodia’s prime minister a “Cheap Thug,” went on the cover of most Thai newspaper as saying “Go ahead, expose my order to spy on Cambodia” Thailand’s defense minister dashed out a call to Cambodia’s defense minister.

The message that came through loud and clear is that if left to diplomats and politicians, there will be war between Thailand and Cambodia, so the actual released messages were, “Thai and Cambodian armies remain close and cordial.”

War Plans Readied:

But as Thai Rath, the mass circulated daily pointed out, the Thai army, through Suthep, pushed through the Thai cabinet, just days before, for a national security plan, that calls for Thai military to be prepared for war.

“It is redundant these days to go to war and the international community will become involved, and Thailand may lose its sovereignty at many levels,” said Thai Rath’s cutting edge analysis.

Thai Army on the Back Burner:

However, it appears that the Thai army have come to some level of the realization that Thai Rath talked about, as the anti-Taksin newspaper, the Nation reports, Cambodia defense minister has criticized the Red Shirt for bringing up the “Kasit Ordering” spies issue and saying “It does not exists” and Thailand’s military flatly denying re-deployment of troop to the entire Eastern front.

Those united moves by the Thai and Cambodian military, indicates, that the military may not get involved in the diplomatic row between Thailand and Cambodia and in putting on distance from the issue.

With both military going for a back-burner, it will then leave the Thai foreign ministry and Cambodia foreign ministry, to hack out a solution to the current conflict.

Diplomatic takes Center Stage?

There are both risks and opportunities here. Thailand’s foreign ministry, under Kasit, the four pillar house, and Yellow Shirt backing, had isolated ASEAN and much of global support away from Thailand. Cambodia’s foreign minister meanwhile, has kept absolutely quiet in the entire offensive by Kasit on Cambodia.

The secret conversation tape of Kasit ordering the spying activity, is probable. The spy is a close friend of the under-secretary of the Thai embassy in Cambodia, who was ordered to leave the country the same day the spy was caught. The embassy was in direct link with Kasit through most of the current Thai Cambodia rift.

Cambodians Spying on Kasit Acceptable?

Before Taksin visited Cambodia and caused this Thai government’s reaction, the Nation, a local newspaper, splatter across the front page that Thai intelligence was following and watching Taksin closely in Cambodia. To which Cambodian intelligence and national security people said they were very worried. “It is their country and the spying on diplomats, under the situation, is normal operational procedure,” said a group of Thai national security officers to this blog.

Spy Tape repercussions:

Kasit’s action, on coming out to say: “Expose the Conversation,” while most local Thai press is running it as Kasit saying it does not exists, in fact, it could also mean a challenge to Cambodia’s foreign ministry, to react. In fact, the Kasit ordering of the spying to captured or killed Taksin, is building his popularity with his extremist Yellow Shirt support base.

The end question, however, is what will happen to the Thai spy? Judging from the mother of the spy, she is now calling for the government to help her son. Earlier, the Thai government minister of the prime minister office, said the spy was a plot cooked up by Taksin and Cambodia, indicating an alternating of the spy out of the picture.

Meanwhile, the Cambodian has already charged the spy with espionage, and how this Kasit probable spying order impact the case, which will then imply Kasit breaking Cambodia’s national security laws, is yet to be seen.

Cambodia Tightens Security:

Meanwhile, the entire Thai contingent at Cambodia’s flight traffic controller, has been suspended, in what Thailand’s right-wing propaganda machine termed “Cambodia’s aggressive move yet again.”

We just want to remind out readers that the Yellow Shirt, when they closed down the Thai airport, actually went up and took control of the flight control room of the Thai airport, to which Kasit went and joined in that activity, and is now on investigations of terrorist activity as a result.

The Thai prime minister, Abhisit, meanwhile, said a Red Shirt leader, Jatuporn, who bought up the Kasit spy ordering activity, is in contact with the Cambodians. Jatuporn also sits in the Thai parliament, and that spy ordering conversational bomb-blast, if exists, will probably go off, if and whan it is needed-in both Thailand and Cambodia.

Thai Prime Minister “Happy as a Mad Hatter”

The plot thickens, and you be the judge where it is heading to, because we at this blog, is just following the situation.

Like Abhisit is doing in his flight to the APEC CEO summit, as the Nation, a Thai newspaper, really did a great job capturing his mood that says, “There is nothing to worry at all on the entire planet.”

But then Abhsit is the master of the universe when it comes to image building and the Nation is also the master of the universe whan it comes to propaganda for Abhisit. We at this blog wished we were as good at it, because we are biting our nails here.

As the wife of a Thai soldier who had been re-deploy out of Bangkok to the Eastern front tells us, “It is his job to protect Thailand, but what will I do if he gets killed.” Asked how long is his new assignment, she said, “For about a year.” And now Cambodians are getting scared, with the entire Cambodian press corps, saying the Kasit tape does not exists.

Summary:

Cooling down or heating up, you make the call.

By Stingray, this blog national security journalist

This blog received a respnse by a nuclear scientist in Australia on our story on Thailand’s nuclear ambition. We publish it un-edited.

The thought of Thais operating any kind of a nuclear facility frankly terrifies me, and it does so for the following reasons:

1. Security. Nuclear power plants can produce the raw material for weapons. Thailand has a history of bad military judgement and incompetence in the armed forces, where the generals are much more interested in their own wealth and status than they are in actually protecting the Thai people. It seems unlikely to me that they would be able to resist the lure of ‘just one’ nuclear weapon when they cannot resist the lure of a redundant aircraft carrier, a redundant submarine and an incompetent airforce. All toys for the boys, but these particular boys should not be loose in the chocolate factory.

2. Discipline and integrity. Also of course, Thailand would be completely incapable of preventing theft and would probably be actively engaged in the illegal sale of weapons material or the components for it. With Thais, everything has a price and nothing has a value. Corruption is endemic and generations of propaganda and questionable motivation mean that Thais do not have a moral compass and are therefore almost invariably not to be trusted. Even if the moral compass to secure nuclear materials were there, the competence to provide nuclear security is almost certainly not going to be there. There are no world class Thai scholars, in fact there are no world class Thai anythings, and there is a fundamental underlying reason for this.

3. Competence. Thais do not so anything well because they have never been taught about quality. If there is not a quick buck in it, Thais are not interested. This is an educational thing as well as a cultural thing and at the heart of it lies the fact that most Thais have little of value and have therefore never learned the value of things. There are so many examples of this drawn from my own experience that the mind boggles. As a consequence, the probability of any safety regimes being safely applied are miniscule. Thais cannot stop trains falling off the rails, buses careering down mountainsides and aeroplanes falling out of the sky so I am very sure I would not be living anywhere downwind of a Thai nuclear plant.
