Please, do not ask Thai Intel what it means, but the Thai authority just said, quote: “We will jolt the Thais into using condoms on Valentine’s Day.”
Maybe, it will be some type of electro shock!
- Thailand, the Never Never Land of Children:
But lets face it, Thailand is a very far extreme right wing country, Yingluck or no Yingluck- where the government usually take the helm of everything, and sees the Thai people as children.
Is that just not so typical of the far extreme right wing, to think people are hell’s animal that can not be trusted. It is quite the opposite of liberals, who mostly believe, human beings are positive animal that wants to do good.
If you do not believe Thai Intel, about Thais being seen and treated as children-if you were here in Thailand, just look at the Thai media. For example, the Thai media says it all the time, that, quote: “The Thai people are the children of Thai Royalty.”
- Mom and Dad on Top of a Rigid Pyramid:
The fact is, everything about Thailand, reeks a rigid top down hierarchy, where those below, follows the order of those on top-questioning little, and mostly doing as they are told.
The problem is, Thailand does not exists alone in the universe, but part of the globe. So here in Thailand, it is the invasion of global cultures-from sexy Korean singers, to Hollywood’s rendition of the modern world.
- Nightmare Scenario:
So like that mix, of a repressed society of rigid top down hierarchy, mixed in with modern culture, has been a nightmare for Thailand.
How to get the Thais to be responsible human beings is just such a hard nut to crack in Thailand. Every Thai adult guy has a mistress it seems, or at least, hit the sex industry regularly. And the children are getting worse. For example, a recent poll, said about 1 in every 3 Thai teens have experimented with swinging.
The fact is, one of the hottest sub-culture in Thailand with the teens, is street motorcycle racing-and guess what, the kids would gamble the race with their girls. “Thai girls are easier than American girls,” is the absolute truth, every Thai guy who went to school in America will say.
- How Thailand Got Here:
If you wonder, how can the Thai society, be just so utterly filled with adults that act like children with little morals and ethics-you do not have to look far. Here, the far extreme right-wing Thai establishment, says, quote: “Democracy, liberty, justice and human rights are non Thai values.”
So great, what do you expect, from a society that does not believe in human rights-like why should Thai teens care about cherry popping on Valentine’s Day-since there is no respect for women’s rights.
- Thai Value:
Go forbid, if someone would ask what then is the Thai value? And the answer, will be something like,”Absolute Monarchy” where, again, the Thais are the children to be led.
So great-lets takes the responsibility of being a human being out of the individual. As crazy as those sexy Korean singers are and as rediculous, most Hollywood movies are-that popular culture, exists, in a wider framework.
In Thailand, there is little about that wider framework. What that means, is that the Thais, in general, are not all that responsible to anything-not democracy, not liberty, not justice and not human rights.
- Wild Kids in Wild Thailand:
So instead of having a Thai population, that is mindful of the “Rule of Law” you have a society, mindful in thinking of how they can get away with something.
And so on Valentine’s Day, the Thai authority have said they will issue a curfew, so that kids can not stay out beyond 10 PM.
You just got to ask yourself, why has it not occurred to the Thai authority, to ask the parents of teens, to talk to their children, about the risk of loosing their virginity, on Valentine’s Day.
