Where do Thais go in time of a crisis can say a great deal about them. Rich Thais in Bangkok, for example, are heading to rich resort areas to get away from the flood-while poor Thais hack it out being flooded or at evacuation centers. Then the rumor is, the super rich Thais are heading overseas vacation for long-stay.
Well, Thai Rath, a mass circulated newspaper here in Thailand, just reported that Taksin, Thailand’s former prime minister that was ousted by the 2006 coup, is in Denmark-where it just happens to be that Thailand is being hit by the worse flooding in some 50-60 years and Denmark is globally renowned for water management because of a low-coastal area.Taksin, by the way, is proposing a US$10 -15 billion permanent fix to Thailand’s water management problems.
Then Thai Rath also reported that perhaps Abhisit, Thailand’s former prime minister, has taken a holiday in the Maldives. The Maldives, off course, is string of low lying islands that is being threatened by global warming-that is raising the sea level. Off course, global level units ranks Bangkok, Thailand‘s capital, as one of the biggest global cities that is at threat from rising oceans-and in fact, Bangkok currently risks flooding from high tide, in the current flooding crisis.
- Yingluck in Quagmire:
Then Thai Rath, also made an analysis, that said that while Yingluck is being greatly criticized for her flood management abilities from some corners, particularly the media performance of the emergency unit in disseminating information-but fundamentally, Yingluck has a comfortable 300 seat majority in the Thai parliament of 500, that is Thai Intel adds-if the establishment does not use judicialization to wipe out Yingluck’s political party.
- Yellow Shirts in Rumor Hell Hole:
Then the Yellow Shirts is in some sort of a “Rumor Hell Hole” at the moment. The latest is that the Yellow Shirts is saying that (xxx censored xxx) went on an informal inspection of the flood because he is greatly worried, meaning Yingluck is doing a bad job. The latest here is that the original post have been taken down.

3. ยิ่งลักษณ์ไปดูคอนเสิร์ต Yanni >> ไม่ได้ไป คนที่ไปคือบรรหารและสุรยุทธ์ (ผู้จัดงา่นยืนยัน)
(Yellow Shirts say Yingluck went to watch Yanni concert in the middle of a flood crisis. Organizer of the concert confirm Yingluck did not attend)

(Yellow Shirts says a Yingluck minister put his name on donated goods before given to flood victims. Observer says the donated goods are from the minister children’s who gave the goods to their father to give flood victims)

(Yellow Shirts says empty donation bags has minister name. Observer say they are cutting edge sand bags donated by a company who put the minister name on it)
7. ยิ่งลักษณ์ซดเหล้า >> แค่คนหน้าคล้ายจากฟิลิปปินส์
(Yellow Shirts says Yingluck is drinking heavily. Observer says the picture is of a Filipino who looks like Yingluck)
8. ต้องใส่เสื้อแดงช่วยงานศปภ. >> ภาพ+คลิปยืนยันชัดเจนมีเสื้อทุกสี
(Yellow Shirts says you have to only wear Red Shirts to help out at the emergency unit. Observer says pictures at the emergency unit proves this is not factual)
9. กองทัพเรือสหรัฐถอนความช่วยเหลือจากไทย >> ท่านฑูตสหรัฐยืนยันว่าไม่จริง
(Yellow Shirts say USA pull-back help in flood crisis. Observer say USA ambassador deny the pull-back)
